STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT

Our management system is team focused and discourages information dependency on one man.  Our operational strategies, core values and mission statement guide our day to day service delivery.  We maintain protocols in all our procedures to ensure uniform and quality service delivery, which gives room for continuity in our existing standard of practice.

In Princess Medical Centre, the management system is structured to incorporate health, safety and environment (HSE) procedures in achieving our objectives and goals.  Our operation involves all round HSE procedures because we also want to stay alive while working to keep people healthy.  This is stressed in a periodic in-house training, so that staff carry out duties and responsibilities without necessarily causing harm to themselves, colleagues, the organization and the environment hosting us.

POLICY ON HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
The importance of safety cannot be overemphasized especially within the health industry.  PRINCESS MEDICAL CENTRE has drawn its focus on this important issue over the years through courses, books and meetings.  The continuously improved knowledge of having a hazard free environment has brought together this policy, which is to be observed by all staff employed by the organization.
1.     To work in every way possible to remain healthy.
2.     Proper management of work hazards that cannot be eliminated.
3.     To incorporate safety of our patients in our daily work plan or procedure.
4.     To protect the environment from harm just the way we protect ourselves.
5.     To create a sustainable development in safety of our staff, patient, environment and the public.
6.     To adhere to government regulations on safety in areas where it concerns us.
7.     Our safety plan is to achieve possibly a zero accident incidence at the end of each year.
WASTE DISPOSAL:-
In line with our HSE policy, wastes are categorized and disposed accordingly.  While sharp objects like injection needles are disposed of using needle destroyers, other wastes are properly bagged and disposed by a waste disposal company contracted by us in line with appropriate state regulations on waste management.
